If you get the weather, then it makes sense to consider an outside bar, we all like to spend time outside if we can, so entertaining at your own outdoor bar is going to be great. An ice maker or cooler is a must, especially on those hot summer days.

I always believe that planning for any project is possibly the most important part, writing lists and even sketching plans gets you thinking more and you are less likely to forget any major details. It also gets you thinking more creatively, giving you the best possible outcome.

I am pleased you got some good ideas and tips from this post, that was the plan. It is surprisingly easy to forget sometimes the most obvious of things you will need in any type of home project, which is why it is a good idea to spend some time planning before you dive in and get started.

A bar added to a pool area is a great idea, just be careful not to drink a little too much and then go for a dip.

Of course if it is going to be inside, the biggest constraint will be space. Great reminder that you will need an electricity point for a fridge and water supply for a sink or even dishwasher, specially if you are building your bar outside. An outside bar would be an ideal addition to a poolside area.

An outdoor bar is great for our backyard and would add a ton of functionality to our space. It would be used primarily in warmer months, so I am considering the suggestion of how to incorporate an ice maker. I may decide to make do with space for a large cooler instead, but it’s helpful to plan all of this in advance to create the coolest bar possible!
