Hi Lizzy,

Brewing beer is a great hobby, and there is nothing more satisfying than enjoying a glass of beer you brewed yourself. Making Liquor or wine is also great too, and will probably be cheaper than buying as well.

I am pleased you are thinking about brewing beer, I hope you get on okay with it, but most of all, enjoy it.

We have only made some at home liquor so far, with fruits and nuts from our garden, but brewing beer from home seems quite interesting as well, it will be fun! Also, good to know that it is cheaper to do so at home and I think I found a new hobby! I think the neighbors will enjoy our brews as well haha.

Hi Madyibilg,

It definitely does work out cheaper to brew your own beer in the long run. However there are a few up front costs to get started. But as long as you look after your equipment well then it should last a long time.

I am slightly alarmed that you say beer might be extinct in the near future, I certainly hope not, but knowing how to brew your own would definitely be a bonus if it did.

It’s cheaper to brew your own beer than to go and buy it at the store. The fact that I also appreciate a good beer or two, if it is going to be extinct in the near future, then it’s wise for me to learn how to brew my own beer and enjoy it in the comfort of my home. Thank you for writing this post. It’s very informative and opened up my eyes to understand the significance of making beer rather than buying.
