Exmoor Ales

Exmoor Ales is a brewery founded in 1979 by Jonathan Price. It sits in the small town of Wiveliscombe on the edge of Exmoor in Devon, England.

The brief was to brew beers with character and flavour. Off to a good start the first beer simply named Exmoor Ale won Champion Beer of Britain just one year later.

Initially housed in the Old Hancock’s Brewery, in 2015 the brewery moved just yards down the road. A new larger brewing space doubled the capacity for beer production.

Today the brewery produce a good range of traditional style beer, the abides by the original brief.

On this page I will feature Exmoor Ales as I get to sample them. The list will grow over time, so be sure to pop back.
