Sapporo Brewery

Sapporo Brewery was set up back in 1876 by the Hakkaido Government in Japan. The brewery was set up in a new plant in Sapporo, Kakkaido, Japan.

The first beer Sapporo lager was brewed in June of 1876 by a young brewmaster Seibei Nakagawa. He had previously left Japan at a young age and ended up in Germany where he learned how to brew.

The brewery was soon privatised and has gone on to merge with other breweries and buy out several more. It has breweries across Japan, as well as Canada, America, Vietnam and Germany.

This page will feature the Sapporo beer range, I will add the beers as I get to try them.
