Stewart Brewing

Stewart Brewing started out as a dream in 1996. Jo and Steven Stewart were inspired by a trip to Boston MA, and the seed of owning their own craft brewery was sown.

Two years later in 1998 the brewery got started, even though it was started from home, it was up and running. They set about perfecting beer recipes that they tried out on family and friends.

The real fun started when they set up premises in Edinburgh in 2002. On a tight budget they kitted the premises out with the equipment to start brewing beer for real.

Another two years down the line in 2004 and the first range of beers were launched. Nine years of trading and a decent amount of growth saw an expansion. In 2013 a move to a new location not far from the original and a new brew house was built.

Constantly building on their success saw more expansion in 2020. Additionally a new canning line as well as a new warehouse were added. Also on top of that was a new tap bar and pizza restaurant.

Apart from all that, Stewart Brewing also offers brewery tours, growler fills, and the chance for anyone to brew their own beer at the brewery.

On this page, I will feature the different beers I get to try from Stewart Brewing. The list will grow over time, as they brew more and I try more.
