Tsingtao Brewery is a brewery founded in 1903 in Qingdoa, China. At the time Qingdoa was a German colony, so the brewery was founded by Germans.
It’s original name was Germania Brauerei, or simply German Brewery. However with two world wars and many other changes, the brewery is now in Chinese hands and is called Tsingtao.
The beer with the same name is still the original beer that the Germans came with all those years ago. This is why it is a pilsner style lager. Although this is the breweries pride and joy beer, in recent years they have brewed other beers like IPA, Wheat beer and a Stout.
You will find any beers I get to try from Tsingtao brewery on this page.
