Well Drawn Brewing Co was founded in 2017 in Caerphilly, Wales by friends Andy Millar and Matt Shannon. The plan was to brew simple but tasty beers that people can sip and savour.
The project started out as a hobby, however it grew steadily creating a good reputation for the brewery. I guess demand became to hard to keep up with and the boys sold the brewery.
In 2020 Craig Edmunds and Barnaby Hibbert acquired the Caerphilly based brewery. There planned to invest and grow the brewery. Well Drawn had a good name for brewing classic cask and bottled conditioned beers.
Local produce is foraged and included in the brewing process when possible.
Well Drawn also has a tap room as well as a food brand making unique burgers to go with their beer.
Philly Brew Co
Craig and Barnaby developed a new brand within the brewery called Philly Brew Co. The idea was to brew more modern style beers like NEIPA’s, Belgium Blondes and Kettle Sours.
I’ve got a feeling that Well Drawn brewery will continue to grow and produce some great beers in the future.
On this page I will add beers I get to try from both Well Drawn and Philly, the list will grow over time.
